How do I know if I'm in labour?
Signs of labor include regular contractions, lower back pain, a bloody show, water breaking, and cervical dilation. If contractions are consistent and getting stronger, or your water breaks, contact your healthcare provider or go to the hospital.
What pain relief options are available during labour?
Common options include epidurals, IV medications, spinal blocks, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and natural pain management techniques like breathing, massage, and hydrotherapy. Your birth plan can include preferences discussed with your care team.
What happens in case of an emergency during labour?

Typically, hospital stays range from 2 – 3 days for vaginal delivery and 3–4 days for a C-section, depending on your recovery and baby’s health. Your healthcare provider will guide discharge timing based on your condition and any complications.
