Whether for preventive care or detailed diagnostics, our team delivers compassionate service with clinical precision.

A key area of focus in our department is fertility and gynecological imaging, where accurate and timely scans play a vital role in evaluating reproductive health, diagnosing gynecological conditions, and guiding fertility treatments. Our experienced sonologists work in close collaboration with fertility and gynecology specialists to ensure that each scan provides clear, actionable insights to support your care plan.

We also place strong emphasis on antenatal scans, prioritizing the safety of both mother and baby. Using the latest technology, we ensure the lowest possible exposure during each scan. In addition to routine 2D imaging, we offer 3D and 4D ultrasound scans, giving expectant parents a vivid, lifelike view of their developing baby—even capturing facial features and movements. These scans not only aid in medical assessment but also provide an emotional and memorable bonding experience during pregnancy.

At Rao Hospital, we believe that accurate imaging is the cornerstone of effective treatment, and we’re proud to support our patients with expert care at every stage of life.

FAQs

Radiology is a medical specialty that uses imaging techniques like X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs to diagnose and monitor diseases. These non-invasive methods allow doctors to see inside the body and make accurate clinical decisions.

We offer a full range of diagnostic imaging services including digital X-rays, ultrasound, 3D/4D ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, mammography, and Doppler studies. All procedures are performed using advanced, high-resolution equipment for precise results.

In most cases, a referral or prescription from a healthcare provider is required for radiology tests. This ensures the appropriate imaging is selected and interpreted in the context of your medical history.

Most imaging tests are very safe. While some, like X-rays and CT scans, involve low levels of radiation, they are used only when medically necessary and under strict safety guidelines. MRI and ultrasound do not use radiation at all.

Results are typically available within 24–48 hours. A board-certified radiologist interprets the images, and your referring physician will discuss the results with you, along with any recommended next steps
