Infertility

This is the only ray of hope for women with blocked tubes, pelvic adhesions and unexplained infertility.From the stimulated ovary the eggs are collected by vaginal sonography and mixed with partner's sperm. This is cultured in the incubator and after a couple of days the embryo is transferred to the uterus.

It is the aging of the ovaries / eggs and not the uterus that is responsible for infertility in an elderly woman. Ovum donation is where a younger woman donates her egg to an older one. The donated eggs are fertilized with recipients partner's sperms. Women of menopausal and post menopausal ageing group are the beneficiaries. For women with premature menopause  &  primary ovarian failure this is a dream come true.

Couples with unexplained infertility and oligospermia have benefited with this procedure. The objective of iui is to introduce processed sperms into the uterus and facilitate fertilization. The insemination is performed at the time of ovulation. During insemination, the doctor passes a fine catheter across the neck of the womb and transfers the best sperms into the uterus.

Is a reproductive revolution for male infertility. Severe sperm problems, obstructive azoospermia and some cases of maturation arrest are the few indications. In icsi the egg is fertilized by a single sperm using a micromanipulator and a high resolution microscope. It bypasses several impedimenta of nature. Rest of the procedure is like that of ivf. With icsi fertilization rate is more than 80% and pregnancy rate is around 55% to 70%. We are proud to have consistent high success rate in ivf icsi procedure.

Semen which is frozen in liquid nitrogen at 196°C, can be preserved and used even after a long period.

Our centre has the facility to freeze surplus embryos. They can be used for patients at later attempts. It brings down the cost drastically

Male Infertility - 50% of the infertile cases are due to male factors. Semen analysis, hormone assays, anti sperm anti body levels, color Doppler scan for varicocoele can be done for its diagnosis. Varicocelectomy by laparoscopy has given hope to a lot of infertile men. ICSI and IUI have proved a boon to such problems. World over IUI has success rate of 15 % ICSI at our center have achieved 40 - 50 % even in patients with poor sperms.

Our Embryology department is fortunate enough to have routine assistance by University experts from Germany during the ICSI programs.

Director of CARE is the Chief Scientist ART, Bielefeld Germany. At CARE, we have an in- house embryologist. ICSl and IVF procedures are conducted throughout the year and consistent high success rate has been achieved batch after batch, we have achieved an average success rate of 50% to 70% in IVF.
